Eurobke 2023 will be a celebration of Classified's new products, partnerships, athletes and ambassadors. Launching into triathlon means that Classified is present in all 4 of the main cycling disciplines - road, gravel, MTB, triathlon & time trial. to Power·shift [Powershifting] {Verb}:
(also: the new benchmark in shifting gears)

2. Maintain valuable momentum during climbs and transitions, or before an attack

Classified’s unique 2 speed gear hub allows riders to jump through 46% percent of the gear range, or the equivalent of 2 or 3 rear derailleur shifts, within 150 milliseconds. As such, ‘Powershifting’ is quickly becoming the go to term for maintaining momentum on the trails.

Tests undertaken with pro riders showed a far greater use of the powershift hub gear as opposed to the rear derailleur, leading to an overwhelming increase of momentum through transitions.

Extending our range further into off-road space with the mountain bike hub confirms Classified’s vision to be a technology that is compatible across all cycling disciplines. CTO Roell van Druten adds “we are very proud to bring Powershift technology to mountain biking. With an ultimate gear range of 530%, the Powershift Boost hub combines a high-grade, one-piece compact steel cassette (11-40t) with a larger chainring, improving the overall durability of the drivetrain.”

Van Druten goes further to explain the benefits of the new system: “Using the Classified hub with an 11-40t cassette and a 34t chainring results in the lowest drivetrain ratio of 0.58. To achieve this ratio with a traditional system the user would have to use a 30t chainring. Using a smaller chainring in a traditional system lowers the efficiency and durability of that system due to the higher chain forces. The more compact Classified cassette also allows the use of a shorter derailleur cage, increasing the robustness of the drivetrain alongside the efficiency.”    

The Ringshifter:

New products on display

With the release of the triathlon product last week, visitors to Eurobike will be able to see and experience Powershift Technology up close and personal, mounted on pro triathlete Kyle Smith's Canyon Speedmax. This includes the world first Powershift ready disc wheel from Parcours. 

Another revolutionary product live on the booth will be Classified's mountain bike product. With the ringshifter and Powershift Boost hub displayed on a couple of very special bikes, visitors can test the MTB Classified system on the rollers for the first time at Eurobike, via a never-seen-before Factor Ostro Rob Britton replica.

Partnerships, new & existing

As well as new product lines on display, we have some exciting new partnerships to shout about. Whether a completely new partner, or a new product with an existing partner, we're very proud to work with some of the best brands in the industry. And we can't wait to show them off at Eurobike 2023.

Including the new 3T x Classified partnership, with the Strada and Exploro RaceMax models both available on the booth, with the Strada available for test rides on the rollers.  As well as 3T, we have partnership activations with Rose, Vielo, Argon 18, Ceepo and more.

Athlete bikes on show

With Powershift Technology making its debut in the World Tour in 2023 we just had to display Victor Campenaerts' Ridley Noah Fast on the booth. Alongside Victor's Ridley will be the Kanzo Fast of Classified Factory Team's Piotr Havik, as well as the Meta P003.1 race bike of the Commencal Enduro Project.

For the first time in classified's history, we will be showcasing Powershift Technology for triathlon and disc wheel on the Canyon Speedmax of Kyle Smith. Smith has been racing the Classified system at the highest level of world triathlon, so we're thrilled to have his race bike on the stand at this year's Eurobike.

Live bike builds

Classified's resident mechanic Jasper will be put to work in our built-in workshop, creating some truly unique builds specifially for the show. On the menu for the workshop this year include a 3T Strada, Ceepo Shadow, Deviate Claymore, Cinelli x iuter and more. 

And in another world first, Jasper will be live building an Omnium Cargo V3 Belt, the first ever with Powershift Technology built in. You won't want to miss that!
