“The Classified hub gear required very little adjustment. The Di2 buttons on the left brake/shift lever activate the planetary gear system and a reduction gear. The advantages: the system eliminates the need for a front derailleur and a second chainring. The weight is roughly equivalent to a classic double chainring groupset, but with improved aerodynamics.
Uphill, the Classified groupset offered greater gear than the Dura-Ace Di2 model. The power transfer is subjectively instantaneous and therefore faster than with a conventional derailleur.”
