Last week, Girona became our playground and The Traka our battleground. We kicked things off onThursday with a vibrant social ride alongside friends, fans and partners of Classified. Part of the course was explored, legs were loosened, and the spirit was high.Later that day, we closed it off in the best way possible: a BBQ evening with our community and brand partners good vibes, good food, good people.
Then came Friday, and it was time to focus.Unfortunately, Piotr Havik couldn’t join us for the Traka 360, after suffering a heavy crash during the recon one week earlier. A big blow but the team raced on with determination.Arno Van den Broeck launched into the Traka 360 right from the start, aggressively attacking early on. He suffered stomach issues and mechanical setbacks, yet fought back into the front group not once, but twice. His resilience brought him a 10th place finish a ride that speaks volumes of heart and grit.Lucy Hempstead had a brilliant day as well, consistently slotting into strong groups and managing her effort masterfully. She sprinted for a top-10 spot and secured 10th in a stacked women’s field. Chapeau!
On Saturday, it was time for the Traka 200, with Thomas De Gendt, Toby Perry, and Daan Grosemans lining up. The race exploded from the gun and unfortunately, our riders were caught out a bit too far back to make the front.Thomas was forced to abandon due to illness, while both Toby and Daanstruggled to find rhythm on what became a rough day. Some days you shine, others you learn. Now it's time to reset, refocus, and aim at the next goals ahead.
Thanks to everyone who joined us , on the bike, at the BBQ, or from afar. We ride as a team.
