Jarne Vandersteen Wins 3 Nations Cup

Winning in MTB takes legs, brains — and the right setup. Jarne Vandersteen had all three last weekend at the 3 Nations Cup MTB series, where he delivered a dominant solo win on his Classified-equipped bike.

“I felt great right from the start of the race,” Jarne told us. “The plan was to stay with the lead group as long as possible and attack towards the end.”

But when the pace dropped earlier than expected, he didn’t wait.“Coming out of a corner, I saw an opportunity and used the Powershift — it gave me a quick jump. I entered the climb with a few seconds’ lead, and from there I was able to build on that advantage.”

With a 40T chainring on a fast course — compared to most competitors running 34 or 36 — Jarne leveraged the edge of Classified’s unique gearing tech to control the race from the front. One well-timed move and a burst of power made all the difference.

He rode solo to the finish, confident and in control.“I’m feeling great and really looking forward to the next race this Sunday in Eupen.”

Congrats, Jarne — on to the next one.
